Step-by-step guides

• Create your account

  1. Open GolfStyle and tap Create your account.
  2. Sign up with email, Google or Apple.
  3. Add your name, last name, gender and your declared handicap.
  4. Confirm your email if we ask you to. Your session stays open for months.

• Start a game

  1. From Home, tap New game.
  2. Choose the course, the game mode, the holes (18, front 9 or back 9) and the tee.
  3. Add players from My Friends, search for registered players or create a guest with their email.
  4. Arrange players in groups of up to four and start the game.

• Score every hole

  1. Open Edit Score to see the players of your group for the current hole.
  2. Tap a player and set strokes and putts with the steppers.
  3. Move to the next hole. Net scores and the leaderboard update live.
  4. No signal? Keep scoring. Scores are saved on your phone and sync when you are back online.

• Use GPS distances

  1. Allow location access when the app asks.
  2. Open the hole map to see the distance to the front, center and back of the green.
  3. Tap anywhere on the map to measure a layup or any other point.
  4. Switch between yards and meters in Settings.

• Confirm scorecards and close the game

  1. When the round ends, the scorer closes the game.
  2. The app checks that every player has a score on every hole.
  3. Another player in the same group confirms each scorecard. You cannot confirm your own.
  4. Once confirmed, the round counts for handicap.

• Check your handicap and stats

  1. Open the Handicap index screen to see your current index and trend.
  2. Rounds marked Used are the ones that set your index.
  3. Open Statistics for greens in regulation, putts per round and score trends.
  4. Switch between lifetime and year-by-year views.

• Play with friends who do not have the app

  1. Add them as a guest with their email when you set up the game.
  2. Score their round like any other player.
  3. When the game ends, we email them so they can see their round.
  4. When they sign up with the same email, their rounds are waiting for them.

• Manage your account

  1. Open Settings from Home.
  2. Edit your photo, name and gender, and choose English or Spanish.
  3. Turn push notifications on or off and pick yards or meters.
  4. To delete your account, go to Settings > Account > Delete Account and confirm. Learn more
