1. Who we are

GolfStyle is published by Glabs Group SAS (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you use the GolfStyle mobile app and this website, why we collect it and what choices you have.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following, mostly because you give it to us:

Account and profile: name, last name, gender, email address, declared handicap, profile photo (optional), and your language and unit preferences. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from them.
Golf data: games you create or join, groups, scores, putts, tees, your handicap index and statistics, and your list of friends built from past games.
Guest players: if you add a friend without an account, you give us their name and email so we can include them in the game and invite them.
Location: with your permission, your device location while you use the app, to show distances on the course.
Analytics and diagnostics: how you use the app (for example the screens you open and the features you use), your app version, device model and operating system, crash reports and performance measurements. See section 4.
Push notification token: so we can send you the notifications you have not turned off.
Messages you send us: course requests and feedback, including an optional screenshot.

3. How we use your information

To create your account and run the app: record rounds, calculate your handicap index and statistics, and show leaderboards.
To send the notifications and emails you need: when you are added to a game, when scorecards are waiting for your confirmation, and invitations and reminders for guests.
To show your distance to the green on the course.
To keep the app reliable and secure, and to measure how it is used so we can fix problems and improve it.
To answer your feedback and add the courses you ask for.

4. Analytics and crash reports

The app uses Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance, services provided by Google. They help us understand how GolfStyle is used, find and fix crashes, and spot slow screens.

They collect data such as the screens you open, the features you use, your app version, device model and operating system, crash reports and performance measurements. This data may be linked to an identifier of the app installation on your device.

We use it to improve the app. To ask us to stop using your analytics data, write to us (see Contact us).

5. What other players can see

Players in a game with you can see your name, profile photo and scores for that game. Your email is not shown to other players. When someone signs up, we may show them the first name and a partly hidden email of a matching guest entry, so they can claim their rounds.

We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers that process it on our behalf:

Google Cloud and Firebase: hosting, database, sign-in, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting and performance monitoring.
Google Maps Platform: course maps.
Resend: sending emails such as guest invitations and scorecard reminders.
Apple and Google: if you choose to sign in with them.

We may also share information if the law requires it or to protect our rights and our users.

7. Where your data is processed

Our providers may process your information in countries other than your own. We use contracts and provider safeguards designed to protect it.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we anonymize it and remove your personal data. Rounds shared with other players are kept, and they see you as “Deleted player”.

9. Your choices and rights

Edit your profile, photo, language and units in Settings.
Turn push notifications off in Settings, and location off in your phone settings.
Ask us to stop using your analytics data by writing to us.
Delete your account in Settings > Account > Delete Account.
Ask us for a copy, correction or deletion of your data, or tell us if you object to certain uses, by writing to us. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under your local data protection law.

10. Security

We protect your information with measures such as encrypted connections and restricted access. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

GolfStyle is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Local law may set a higher minimum age.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If we make important changes, we will tell you in the app or by email. The date at the top shows the latest version.
